Last time we were playing magic the gathering, well every time we play she gets confused about a basic mechanic, but I digress, last time she was certain that "when this card enters the battlefield X happens" means that X happens every fucking turn. because every turn it's out, it's "entering the battlefield".
I feel like even non card game players understand that enters the battlefield just means when the card is played for the first time.
She frequently doesn't understand the difference between power/toughness, which is the cards attack/defence. She often forgets to draw. She's been playing magic for months, but after a week, I knew the game better than her, sure I played some yu-gi-oh as a kid, but I genuinely think she's just a bit slow. Her tastes in anime and media seems kinda superficial too, she doesn't watch anything thought provoking. I mentioned enjoying Blue Period, one of my favourite anime of recent years, to her because she also does an art degree and the show is about that, sorta, and she says she got bored after an episode

I don't think players stream their PoV in valorant matches. Valorant esports has a horrible viewing system, there's literally one observer, run by the event, so you can't watch the perspectives you want to actually see.
I've seen people try and analyse pro matches and often they're just looking at the minimap because the stream won't show what they want to see.

The more I learn about my 'fus, the less happy I am. In a way I quite like where my parasocial relationship towards Acid is. I know very little about her life, I watch her toks and I'm happy.

In Episode 1, Mamimi has a mental breakdown when Naota tells her that his brother has a girlfriend in America.
In Episode 2, Mamimi is becoming a destructive arsonist to cope with her depression, and Naota seeing her in this state triggers another fight.
In Episode 5, Mamimi rejecting his romantic advances triggers another fight.
The robot fights are metaphors for adolescent struggles. Struggling to help your best friend through their serious mental health issues, Struggling with romantic rejection Ninamori struggles with her parent's highly public divorce. The fights are overcoming these issues, not just for Naota but also Ninamori when it happens to her. I can see the bones interpretation but I can't relate then to the fights.
I see the horns and cat ears as being emotional instability. Struggling with not talking about things until they boil over. The Masculine urge to bottle up and hide away your issues.

The work I'm referring to wasn't even that special, it was kitchen staff at KFC, still required plenty endurance to do the stuff fast but I've gotten really good at working safely and fast over the months, like the first month was just straight up pain but after that it got much better, I would even say I was pretty good at the end of my "career" there.

watched the last of us tv show. the best part were the changes they made to bills character, explored his backstory a lot more, gave him more depth, his lore is brokeback mountain lite. ashley johnson (ellie in game) giving birth to tv shows ellie was unintentionally funny, if you know that context. same with troy baker (joel in game) playing a side goon in the show.
on its own the show is not bad, but when you contrast it to the game - it feels worse than it is. its definitely not the best way to experience the story/10

its an unpopular opinion but I kinda do agree
it plays off of the story they gave him in the game but actually shows it a bit more, sort of like a prequel to what goes on in the game and why he has become like he has by the time you (joel and ellie) reach the derelict town that he controls by himself
my only main complaint with the series is that they had to force too much stuff into too few episodes, they didnt have the opportunity to actually develop as much of the plot as they mightve wanted making it feel rushed and a bit lacking but overall I liked it
personally really dislike how they made the sanctuary camp that tommy helped build be situated in the middle of a big valley with absolutely nothing around it, just like a base in Rust or something like that
