would it be hard to code that thing endchadmin did with his magrathea site where HEVC on firefox was reencoded to 264 as you watched it?
idk coding so I cannot estimate such a task myself

I thought about that, problem is re-encoding HEVC takes processing power which costs money and also it might slow down the site if there's too many uploads
Plus, I would need to add a delay to account for the encoding time so firefox users would see toks like ~5s after they were posted
